Templates
Create reusable violation and maintenance templates, import template CSVs, and speed up board workflows.
Overview
Templates store reusable text for common violation and maintenance workflows. They help the board create consistent records without retyping the same descriptions.
Templates are community-specific and appear in related create dialogs.
Template Types

| Maintenance | Maintenance category and description |
Violation templates can include a default fine. Maintenance templates do not use fines.

Templates include:
- Type
- Title
- Category
- Description
- Default fine for violation templates
Use clear titles that board members will recognize quickly in create dialogs.
Creating and Updating
Creating a template logs a template create audit event. Updating changes the reusable content but does not retroactively change existing violations or maintenance requests.
Templates are meant to speed up new records, not rewrite past records.
Importing Templates
Template import accepts rows with:
- Type
- Title
- Category
- Description
- Default fine
Invalid rows or rows without titles are skipped. Import results show imported and skipped counts. Imported templates are logged as CSV-created template activity.
Deleting Templates
Deleting a template soft-deletes it. Deleted templates no longer appear in create dialogs, but existing records created from the template remain unchanged.
