Read board announcements, pinned notices, recent updates, and archived portal posts.
Overview
The Updates page lists announcements published by the board to the resident portal. Residents can search announcements and filter by date.
Only announcements with the portal or both channel appear in the resident portal. Email-only announcements are not shown here unless the board also published them to the portal.
Visibility Rules
An announcement appears to residents when it:
- Belongs to the resident's community
- Has been published
- Is not deleted
- Is assigned to the portal or both channels
- Has not expired
Pinned announcements appear before unpinned announcements.
Announcement Labels
| Label | Meaning |
|---|---|
| New | Published within the last 7 days |
| Pinned | Marked by the board as important |
| Date badge | Shows the publish date |
Pinned updates remain at the top until the board unpins them or removes the announcement.
Filters
Residents can filter updates by:
- Search text
- New only
- This week
- This month
- This year
- Custom date range
Search checks announcement title and body.
Expiration
The board can set an expiration date on an announcement. Expired announcements disappear from the resident Updates page but remain in board records unless deleted.
Email Delivery
Some announcements may also be emailed. Email delivery depends on the board's chosen channel, resident contact data, and delivery settings. The resident portal only documents what was published to the portal.
